OROFACIAL MYOLOGY

The goal of orofacial myology is to utilize therapeutic exercises to assist in proper swallow, chew, breath and oral rest posture. ALL of these functions help aid in proper development of the craniofacial and respiratory complexes.

Through my studies and own personal experiences, I have come to understand that Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders (OMDs) can cause a lifetime of symptoms.

As a mother, I witnessed first-hand with my oldest son the negative effects of improper oral rest posture and the correlation to pediatric sleep apnea.

The effects of OMDs can lead to an array of symptoms over time including: daytime grogginess, learning difficulties, behavioral issues, dental malocclusions, mouth breathing, snoring, bedwetting, digestive issues, teeth grinding and headaches.

If you or your child suffer from any of these symptoms and you want to know if Myofunctional therapy could help, set up your consultation today.

LACTATION SUPPORT

Lactation support is a crucial aspect of maternal and infant health, aiming to assist and empower mothers in their breastfeeding journey. This specialized form of care involves providing guidance, education, and practical assistance to ensure successful breastfeeding and addressing challenges that may arise during the lactation process.

I have nursed 4 of my own babies, each with their own challenges, and my first nursing journey is what brought me down the path to airway development and tongue ties. I strive to be the support for you that I so desperately needed with my first before I knew what I know now. I struggled for too long with no support or guidance, and looking back some of my son's airway concerns could have been less severe had I known what a posterior tongue tie was and the implications it had on our breastfeeding journey and the restrictions it has on proper cranial development.

Breastfeeding is a beautiful and connecting experience and for those mother's who are struggling but want the help to succeed both physically and mentally I am here for you.
